Real Madrid are eyeing Tottenham Hotspur’s Pedro Porro as a key target to strengthen their right-back position, following Dani Carvajal’s injury.

The Spanish giants view Porro as an ideal candidate due to his La Liga experience and standout performances for Spurs.

Carvajal’s absence has exposed weakness in Madrid’s defence, pushing them to focus on reinforcements.

Under Ange Postecoglou, Tottenham have had a season of highs and lows but remain competitive across all competitions.

Out of 17 matches, they have registered 10 wins, one draw, and six defeats. However, defensive lapses have been clear, with 19 goals conceded so far.

Porro, though, has been instrumental in Postecoglou’s system, which demands fullbacks to contribute both offensively and defensively.

The Spaniard has featured in 13 matches across all competitions, delivering two assists and scoring once.

His energy, tactical awareness, and sharpness have been key in creating chances and maintaining defensive solidity.

According to Fichajes, Madrid are determined to make Porro their top defensive target in the upcoming transfer window.

The club’s defensive struggles, compounded by Carvajal’s absence, make a right-back signing essential.

While Madrid are also monitoring Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold, reports suggest he remains committed to Anfield.

Pedro Porro, earning £85,000 per week according to Capology, offers exceptional value for Spurs.

However, losing him to Real Madrid would leave a significant gap in Tottenham’s defence, potentially interfering with Postecoglou’s plans for stability and progress.
