AdminAndy Hinchcliffe has delivered a blunt assessment of Leicester City’s alarming downturn, questioning where the club will find the form required to pull themselves clear of danger.
The former defender did not hold back when addressing the Foxes’ recent record, which has seen confidence drain both on and off the pitch. Speaking candidly, he said: ‘They’ve only won one of the last 13. How are they suddenly going to win four or five matches? You don’t win one out of 13 unless something’s not right’.
It is a run that has left Leicester staring nervously over their shoulder, with performances failing to match the urgency of their situation. For Hinchcliffe, the issue is not simply tactical or technical, but something deeper within the squad.
He believes the players must take greater responsibility in the closing stages of the campaign, adding: ‘They’ve got to show heart and show they care’.
There is a growing sense that time is running out for Leicester to correct their course. Results must come quickly, and with pressure mounting, the response from within the dressing room will be decisive.
Whether they can rediscover the resilience required remains to be seen, but as Hinchcliffe suggests, without a significant shift in attitude and performance, their current plight looks unlikely to improve.
