It’s a dream start: Leicester have identified the perfect replacement for Jordan James for the clash against Preston.

If Leicester City supporters were asked to name their Player of the Season at this stage, few would look beyond Jordan James.

The midfielder has been a driving force in a turbulent campaign, his return of ten Championship goals placing him just ahead of Abdul Fatawu, who sits on nine.

Beyond the numbers, James has earned admiration for his relentless energy and commitment.

His all-action displays have struck a chord at the King Power Stadium, underlined by a combative edge that saw him win 12 duels across March alone.

That momentum, however, has been halted. The 21-year-old is expected to miss the start of April, and potentially longer, after suffering an injury while on international duty with Wales against Bosnia and Herzegovina. The extent of the problem remains unclear, leaving supporters anxiously awaiting updates.

Gary Rowett must now find a solution, and attention may turn to Manchester City loanee Divine Mukasa.

The 18-year-old has shown flashes of real promise, registering two goals and three assists from just five league starts.

A dream start 👏

Mukasa has not looked out of place at this level, and with an extended opportunity in the number ten role, he could yet emerge as a key figure in James’ absence during the run-in.
