Leicester City forward is fast approaching the final months of his five-year contract at the King Power Stadium, and his time with the Foxes has been widely viewed as disappointing.

Signed in 2021 from Austrian outfit RB Salzburg, the 27-year-old has struggled to make the impact expected of him. Since his debut season in England in 2021/22, Daka has never scored more than 11 goals in a campaign.

This season has been particularly frustrating, with the Zambian registering just three league goals in 34 appearances.

His misses in Leicester’s recent Championship clash at Watford—both a penalty and an open goal—have only added to the growing frustration among fans, many of whom appear ready to see him depart.

Questions have also been raised about his cost. While his transfer fee is undisclosed here, Capology estimates suggest Daka has earned £75,000 per week during his Leicester tenure, including both seasons in the Championship.

Interim manager Gary Rowett highlighted his concerns after the Watford game: “We’ve got to go and convert that [penalty].

It’s a good save, but when you have a chance like that, you have to score them. We had two or three other chances. Pato [Patson Daka] should get his diving header on target.”

According to John Percy, Daka is set to leave when his contract expires in June, with Leicester planning to “look to sign two new strikers” in his place.

Turkish outlet Aspor reports he has already offered his services to Galatasaray, who may see him as a potential replacement for Mauro Icardi.
