Leicester City have been handed a timely boost ahead of Friday’s crucial clash with Preston North End, with Jordan James expected to shake off injury concerns.
The midfielder, City’s leading scorer and standout performer this season, returned early from international duty with Wales after limping out of their World Cup qualifying defeat to Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Initial fears centred around a potential Achilles problem, raising concerns he could miss a key stretch in the Foxes’ fight against relegation.
However, those worries now appear to have eased significantly. The issue is understood to be minor, and there remains a strong possibility that James could yet feature at the King Power Stadium this weekend.
His absence from training has done little to dampen optimism within the camp. Several players involved in international fixtures were also not present, and Leicester’s medical staff are continuing to monitor his condition closely before making a final decision.
Speaking on the situation, the message from within the club has been cautiously encouraging. “He hasn’t trained today but neither have a lot of the international lads. He’s one that we’ll have a discussion on.
“If you speak to JJ, he’s adamant he’ll be fit. We’ll have that conversation, and at least it will be a positive conversation.”
For Leicester, the potential return of their most influential player could prove decisive at a critical stage of the season.
