Leicester City are staring squarely at the prospect of League One football after a damaging 1-0 home defeat to Swansea City deepened their relegation fears.
The club’s decline has been stark. Less than a decade on from that remarkable Premier League triumph, achieved with the likes of Jamie Vardy, Riyad Mahrez, N’Golo Kante, Wes Morgan and Kasper Schmeichel, Leicester now find themselves battling to avoid a second successive drop. A third relegation in four years is no longer unthinkable.

Uncertainty looms over the summer, with significant changes expected at the King Power Stadium. Among the biggest concerns is the future of highly-rated teenager Jeremy Monga, who is attracting widespread interest.
Monga, 16, has long been on the radar of top clubs, having made his debut at just 15 years and 271 days old. He also became the youngest scorer in Championship history earlier this season. Despite Leicester’s struggles, he has featured sparingly, clocking just over 800 league minutes.
According to TEAMtalk’s Graeme Bailey, Manchester United and Arsenal have joined Manchester City in the race for his signature, while Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and others are also monitoring his progress.
Leicester are keen to keep him, but with survival hanging in the balance and four games remaining, their focus remains firmly on results. Failure to stay up could all but end hopes of retaining their brightest prospect.
