This is where we are now 😭💔: Hull City Assistant Manager Dean Holden makes this unbelievable comment on Leicester City that has frustrated the Foxes fans.

Hull City assistant manager Dean Holden has defended Leicester City’s squad ahead of their latest Championship test, insisting the Foxes still possess players of real quality despite a difficult spell under Gary Rowett.

Leicester’s form has come under increasing scrutiny in recent weeks, with questions being asked about whether the current group is capable of handling the pressure that comes with fighting at the top end of the table.

Holden, however, believes criticism of the squad has gone too far and feels the individual talent within the dressing room should not be ignored.

Speaking before the meeting between the two sides, Holden dismissed suggestions that Leicester’s players are not up to the standard required.

‘Not having it when people say they aren’t good enough, if you look individually they’ve got some excellent players’

Holden pointed to the quality throughout Leicester’s squad and suggested the club’s current struggles are more complex than simply questioning the ability of the players on the pitch.

The Hull assistant also backed Leicester manager Gary Rowett to guide the side through a challenging period, highlighting the experience he brings to the role at a crucial stage of the season.

‘It’s clearly been difficult for them. But Gary Rowett is an experienced manager’

Holden’s comments reflect the respect Leicester still command among their Championship rivals, even as results have made this a far more demanding campaign than many expected at the start of the season for the former Premier League side.
