As Leicester City F.C. slipped towards one of the darkest moments in the club’s modern history, many supporters were left dismayed not only by the relegation itself, but by the mood surrounding it.
While the Foxes were condemned to the third tier after a disastrous campaign, some fans could not hide their anger at seeing players and senior figures appearing far too comfortable as the season collapsed around them.

In the stands, the mood was one of disbelief. On the pitch, however, there were moments that left supporters questioning whether the gravity of the situation had truly sunk in.
Chants of “Straight back up Leicester City” drifted around the ground, but for many in the home end it felt painfully premature, especially with the wounds of relegation still fresh.
The sense of frustration only grew as the silence from the dressing room continued. Few players publicly addressed the club’s fall, and even fewer acknowledged the pain supporters were feeling after watching their side tumble into League One.
That was until veteran goalkeeper Asmir Begović became the first senior player to speak openly.
“It’s been disappointing all around and ultimately not good enough on all levels. Appreciate all of the support from our fans home and away all season and they deserved better.”
For many Leicester fans, Begovic’s words stood in sharp contrast to the scenes around the club, offering at least one voice that recognised the hurt felt across the stands.
