Our First Signing for Sure😱😱: West Ham Have Agreed to Sign a Centre-Back From a European Giant This Summer, According to Sky Sports – “Here We Go” Soon!

West Ham United are reportedly edging closer to a deal for Middlesbrough defender Dael Fry as the club steps up preparations for life in the Championship.

The 28-year-old centre-back has been a loyal servant to Middlesbrough, making 300 appearances since breaking into the first team in 2015.

However, with his current contract set to expire at the end of June, uncertainty remains over his future at the Riverside Stadium.

Although Middlesbrough are understood to be in talks with Fry over a new deal, reports suggest an agreement has yet to be reached.

According to SportsBoom, West Ham are among several clubs monitoring the situation, with Blackburn Rovers, Burnley and Sheffield United also credited with an interest.

The Hammers are believed to hold a significant advantage financially and are reportedly capable of offering Fry a more attractive package than any of his suitors.

Negotiations between the player and West Ham are said to be moving in a positive direction, though the possibility of him remaining with his boyhood club has not been ruled out.

Fry’s situation is the latest indication of the transfer strategy being adopted by manager Nuno Espirito Santo.

Following relegation, West Ham have been linked with a number of standout Championship performers as they look to build a squad capable of securing an immediate return to the Premier League.

The pursuit of proven Championship talent appears central to that plan.
