Leicester City appear to have missed out on another transfer target after Myles Peart-Harris moved closer to joining Middlesbrough ahead of the new Championship season.
The attacking midfielder had attracted interest from several clubs following his departure from Brentford, with Leicester believed to be among those monitoring his situation.
However, Middlesbrough have won the race for the highly-rated 23-year-old and are now set to complete the deal.
According to reports, “Understand Middlesbrough have agreed a deal to sign former Oxford winger Myles Peart-Harris on a free transfer.
Boro have beaten off interest from a number of clubs for the former Brentford man. Peart-Harris is set to sign a four-year deal at the Riverside.”
The move represents another setback for Leicester as Russell Martin continues to reshape his squad ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.

The Foxes have been linked with several Championship players this summer, but competition for proven talent has been fierce, with rival clubs acting quickly to secure their preferred targets.
Peart-Harris impressed during his spell with Oxford United, showing his versatility across the attacking positions and earning praise for his creativity and work rate.
His performances made him one of the more sought-after free agents available this summer.
With Middlesbrough now on the verge of confirming his arrival, Leicester will be forced to turn their attention elsewhere as they continue their search for reinforcements before the transfer window closes.
