AdminLeicester City supporters have called for a major squad clear-out, with several players being identified as unwanted ahead of the new season.
Following a disappointing campaign and a summer of significant changes at the club, fans believe further departures are needed if Leicester are to move forward and build a stronger squad under Russell Martin.
One supporter summed up the frustration bluntly, saying: “Drop the prices and get these gone. The club have to sell. We can’t hang onto negativity if we actually want to progress.”
The players mentioned were Stephy Mavididi, Oliver Skipp, Harry Souttar and Wout Faes, with supporters seemingly keen for Leicester to find buyers and move on from the quartet.
Mavididi has been a key attacking option for the Foxes, but questions remain over whether he fits into Martin’s plans going forward.
Skipp, meanwhile, has also come under scrutiny following his recent performances and disciplinary problems.
At the back, Souttar and Faes have faced criticism from sections of the fanbase, who believe Leicester need a fresh defensive approach as they look to rebuild.
The call for the club to lower their asking prices reflects the growing desire among supporters to see the squad reshaped quickly.
Leicester cannot afford to carry players who are viewed negatively if they want to create a more positive atmosphere around the team.
With the transfer window still open, there could be further movement at the King Power Stadium before deadline day, and supporters will be hoping the club acts decisively.
