Leicester City youngster Jayden Joseph has outlined his ambitions after committing his future to the club with a new long-term contract.
The 20-year-old signed a four-year deal keeping him at the King Power Stadium until 2030, rewarding his rapid rise since joining Leicester from Manchester City four years ago. Joseph has now established himself as Russell Martin’s first-choice right-back and marked his first start this season with a goal.
“I’m so happy to be here, I’ve enjoyed my time since I’ve joined,” he explained.
“I just want to keep enjoying my football, enjoying my time here and keep pushing on.”
Joseph believes his progress has followed the path he always expected.
“I always believed it within myself, so I was hoping the process went that way. I feel like it has and I just need to keep pushing and keep trying to be the best I can every day.”
After spending a decade in Manchester City’s academy, Joseph moved to Leicester and admits adapting to life away from home was difficult initially.

“It was tough at the time, going into new environments, which I’ve never really done before.”
His loan spell at Tranmere Rovers last season proved crucial, giving him valuable experience of senior football and its physical demands.
Now firmly established in Leicester’s first team, Joseph has set his sights even higher.
“I just want to play as high as I can, really, be the best player I can and show everyone what I can do. Hopefully play for England one day, yeah.”
