Peterborough United produced a remarkable performance to secure a 3-1 victory over Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Saturday, piling further pressure on Foxes manager Russell Martin.
The visitors were deserved winners, playing with greater confidence, attacking intent and creativity against a Leicester side that struggled to cope with their high pressing and pace.
Three first-half goals left the home supporters furious, and although Leicester pulled one back after the break, they never looked capable of mounting a comeback.
Robbie Savage’s side made a statement from the opening stages, with Owura Edwards opening the scoring in the 13th minute with a superb finish.
Harry Leonard doubled the advantage before half-time, capitalising on Bolu Shofowoke’s persistence, while Ethan Williams’ effort deflected off Warren O’Hara to make it 3-0.
Leicester had opportunities early on, with Emil Riis missing a clear chance, but Peterborough gradually took control and repeatedly exposed weaknesses in the home defence.
Martin responded with three half-time substitutions, hoping to spark a revival. Riis eventually pulled one back from close range after Wes Burns created the opportunity, but Peterborough remained composed.

Josh Feeney and teenage defender Lucca Mendonca impressed at the back, helping Posh withstand Leicester’s late pressure.
Peterborough also threatened to extend their lead, with Danny Ormerod, Feeney and Matty Garbett coming close to adding a fourth.
The result means Savage’s men have scored seven goals in two matches under his leadership and climbed out of the League One relegation zone, while serious questions remain over Martin’s position at Leicester.
