Incredible 😱😱😱: He deserves a starting place after delivering an outstanding performance for his country that surprised everyone.

Despite being just 16, Jeremy Monga has already amassed a notable amount of senior experience at Leicester City, marking him out as one of the club’s most intriguing young prospects.

Ruud van Nistelrooy’s difficult spell at the King Power may not live long in the memory, but the Dutchman did at least play a pivotal role in Monga’s emergence. It was under his stewardship that the teenager made his debut at only 15, a bold decision that has since been vindicated by Monga’s rapid development.

Now with 32 senior appearances to his name, the Leicester academy product has begun to attract attention from heavyweights such as Chelsea and Manchester City, both reportedly monitoring his progress closely.

However, opportunities have been scarce of late. Since Gary Rowett’s appointment, Monga has found himself confined to the bench in recent league fixtures. Even so, the youngster remains poised to seize his next chance as Leicester continue their battle for survival.

Supporters, enduring what has largely been a difficult campaign, have taken pride in seeing one of their own break through. There is now a growing argument that Rowett should show similar faith in another emerging talent.

Eighteen-year-old Lorenz Hutchinson has been in electric form at youth level, scoring 15 goals in the U18 Premier League and captaining the side on occasion. He also marked his England U18 debut with a goal, underlining his potential.

With Leicester lacking cutting edge in attack, Rowett may have little to lose by handing Hutchinson an opportunity to make his mark.
