It’s getting worse 😭💔: Leicester City could face a heavy points deduction if this proves true — you won’t believe they’ve brought up a 2016 incident in 2026.

Leicester City supporters have endured a bruising period off the pitch, with financial missteps at Filbert Way leaving many disillusioned.

The club’s attempts to challenge and appeal sanctions have only deepened the sense of frustration among fans, many of whom feel increasingly disconnected from the decision-makers at the King Power Stadium.

Once a symbol of East Midlands pride, Leicester now appear trapped in a cycle of financial mismanagement.

The romance of their 2016 title triumph has given way to the harsher realities of modern football finance, where balance sheets have become as significant as results on the pitch.

Speculation remains that the Foxes are unlikely to overturn their existing six-point deduction, with the possibility of a further, albeit smaller, penalty still looming.

Recent financial accounts have done little to reassure an already anxious fanbase, instead raising fresh concerns about the club’s long-term stability.

Stefan Borson, a former Manchester City financial advisor, believes the situation could worsen. He has indicated that another “big breach” may have occurred, potentially leading to a second charge.

According to Borson, the previously reported £20.8 million breach could be followed by a similar shortfall of around £22 million for the 2024/25 period.

That is just what the LE2 side required amidst a relegation dogfight. The growing threat of further sanctions hangs heavily over the club, casting doubt on both their financial footing and their hopes of preserving their status.
