Leicester City winger Abdul Fatawu has emerged as a transfer target for RB Leipzig, according to Sky Germany reporter Philipp Hinze.
The Foxes are preparing for life in League One following a disastrous 2025/26 campaign that saw them suffer a second successive relegation.

Leicester became only the fifth club in English football history to fall from the Premier League to the third tier in back-to-back seasons, forcing the club into a major rebuild this summer.
With reports suggesting Leicester will have a transfer budget of around £10 million, several senior players are expected to leave the King Power Stadium.
Fatawu is widely viewed as the club’s most valuable asset and there is little expectation he will remain for League One football.
According to Hinze, Leipzig have drawn up a lengthy shortlist as they search for a winger ahead of next season, with Fatawu among the names under consideration.
The Ghana international stayed at Leicester last summer while recovering from an ACL injury, but the situation has now changed dramatically.
Wolves have previously been linked with the winger, though interest from across Europe is expected to grow.
Despite inconsistency at times, Fatawu’s pace, direct running and explosive left foot continue to make him one of Leicester’s standout attacking talents. Replacing that threat will be one of the club’s biggest challenges as they attempt to rebuild for a demanding League One campaign.
