This can’t be true 😡😡😡: Declan Rice breaks his silence as he reveals the unbelievable reason that made him leave West Ham for Arsenal, surprising everyone.

Declan Rice has finally opened up again on the emotional decision that saw him leave West Ham United for Arsenal, and many Hammers supporters still find it difficult to accept.

The England midfielder returned to the London Stadium this week as Arsenal secured a narrow 1-0 victory over West Ham in a fiercely contested Premier League clash. The result pushed Mikel Arteta’s side closer to the league title, while West Ham were left battling to avoid relegation.

Rice was heavily involved throughout the match and, despite the hostile atmosphere from sections of the home support, he showed respect to the club where he rose through the ranks and became captain.

Speaking before and after the game, Rice made it clear that his departure in 2023 was never about money or disrespect towards West Ham. Instead, the midfielder admitted his ambition to compete “at the very highest level” ultimately convinced him to join Arsenal.

In his emotional farewell to West Ham fans back in 2023, Rice explained: “I want you to know how tough a decision it has been for me to leave an environment that I have loved and cherished so much.”

The midfielder also admitted that he wanted Champions League football regularly and believed Arsenal could help him compete for the biggest trophies in world football.

Since arriving at the Emirates in a £105 million move, Rice has transformed into one of the best midfielders in Europe. His performances have helped Arsenal challenge for major honours consistently, with many now viewing him as the heartbeat of Arteta’s side.

Ironically, Rice’s return came at a difficult moment for West Ham. The club are fighting near the bottom of the table, while Arsenal are pushing towards their first Premier League title in over two decades.

Despite everything, Rice insists he still loves West Ham and appreciates what the club did for him. Speaking recently, he admitted: “Without West Ham, there’s no me.”

But for the 27-year-old, the desire to compete for the biggest trophies was simply too strong to ignore — and judging by Arsenal’s rise since his arrival, he clearly believes he made the right choice.
