West Ham could face a major battle to keep one of their most important players this summer after the club’s relegation from the Premier League sparked growing transfer speculation.
Despite a convincing 3-0 victory over Leeds United on Sunday, the Hammers were condemned to the Championship after Tottenham secured a 1-0 win against Everton.

The financial consequences of relegation are expected to be severe, with reports suggesting the club could lose close to £100million in revenue, potentially forcing several high-profile departures.
One senior England international has already been linked with a move to Manchester United, despite being under contract at the London Stadium until 2030. According to reports from the Guardian, the Old Trafford club are monitoring the situation closely ahead of the summer transfer window.
Back in 2022, the forward admitted he grew up following Manchester United and idolising David Beckham. During an appearance on Sky Sports, he reflected on a childhood photo of himself wearing Beckham’s famous England No.7 shirt.
He said: “I followed Manchester United a bit growing up, as well, but I think I more followed him because I thought he was cool. Him growing up, me supporting Manchester United, trying to copy him with that picture and, as soon as I got sent it, I knew it was going out.”
Since arriving at West Ham in 2020, Jarrod Bowen has scored 85 goals and established himself as one of the club’s most influential players.
However, despite increasing rumours over his future, Bowen insisted his focus remains on helping West Ham return to the Premier League.
He said: “I’m under contract here. I’ve been here six and a half years. I’ve had some really high moments and this is a low moment that will outweigh everything.
“There’s going to be rumours, there’s going to be talk. Ultimately, what I see is getting this club back in the Premier League because that is where it deserves to be.”
Bowen later addressed supporters on Instagram, writing: “It’s hard to post something like this when all you’re feeling is embarrassment and pain.”
He added: “This club belongs in the Premier League and deserves to be back there as soon as possible.”
