Manchester United have reportedly opened the door for Amad Diallo to leave Old Trafford this summer, with Aston Villa emerging as the latest club to show serious interest in the winger.
The 24-year-old has yet to feature for Michael Carrick’s side this season after suffering an injury, while his position in the squad has also come under scrutiny following the manager’s arrival.
United had not initially planned to sell the Ivory Coast international, but the club are now understood to be willing to consider offers if the right price is placed on the table.
Former Manchester United chief scout Mick Brown believes Amad’s future could become one of the stories to watch before the transfer window closes.
“Amad Diallo is going to be one to watch before the window closes,” Brown told Football Insider.
“It seems like Aston Villa have made an approach for him, which is interesting, because up until now it did seem like he was going to stay at Man United.
“Michael Carrick has been concerned about his wide options, but there’s no doubt Amad is down the pecking order when you look at the other options.

Bryan Mbeumo has established himself as Carrick’s preferred right-winger, while the emergence of youngster Shea Lacey has provided further competition.
Despite Villa’s interest, Amad reportedly wants to remain at United and fight for his place. Football Insider revealed in July that the winger had no plans to leave Old Trafford and was prepared to reject approaches from elsewhere.
Carrick is also believed to be keen to keep Amad, although United could still consider a suitable offer before the window shuts.
