Former Leicester City winger Marc Albrighton has opened the door to a possible return to the club, insisting that Leicester remains a special place for those who have experienced its unique culture.
Albrighton, who spent more than a decade with the Foxes, believes there is still a role for former players who understand the values that helped make the club successful.
With Leicester facing another difficult period, he feels their experience could help restore some of the identity that has been lost in recent years.
Albrighton said ‘if there’s one club any of us would work at it’s Leicester’
The former England international was part of the Leicester side that produced one of the greatest surprises in Premier League history, winning the title in 2016.
He also played a key role during the club’s memorable Champions League campaign and their FA Cup triumph in 2021.
Reflecting on the possibility of former players contributing to the club, Albrighton added:

‘‘I would have thought there must be some way we could pass on our experience and try to get that culture back. There has never been any contact with me from the club regarding this.
His comments will likely resonate with Leicester supporters, particularly those who remember the togetherness and mentality of the club’s most successful years.
With the Foxes rebuilding once again, Albrighton’s suggestion raises an interesting question about whether experienced former players could help bring that culture back.
