🚨 “Unfortunately…” — Leicester City Face Fresh Criticism Over King Power Ownership Amid Growing Fan Frustration

King Power’s ownership of Leicester City has come under fresh criticism, with a Foxes supporter claiming the club’s owners no longer understand the struggles of ordinary fans.

The Thai group has been in charge since 2010, overseeing one of English football’s greatest success stories.

Leicester won the Championship in 2014, the Premier League title in 2016 and their first FA Cup in 2021.

However, the club’s fortunes have since collapsed, with Russell Martin now tasked with leading them back from League One. Financial difficulties and a points deduction in 2025/26 have added to their problems.

Speaking to Football League World, Leicester fan pundit Jamie Preston questioned whether the owners appreciate the sacrifices supporters make to follow their team.

“I’m not sure our club owner does truly understand our fans,” Preston told Football League World.

“Unfortunately football nowadays is run as a business, and it’s every penny and every pound counts no matter what.

“They try to fleece the fans for more money year in and year out, ticket sales, on merchandise, you name it.”

Preston also highlighted rising ticket prices, food, drinks and parking costs, arguing that attending matches has become increasingly expensive for families.

Meanwhile, King Power have reportedly put Leicester up for sale, with Neil Lal among the potential bidders. However, no takeover agreement has been confirmed.

Leicester currently sit 14th in League One after seven matches, seven points behind leaders Plymouth Argyle, who have played two games more.

A change in ownership could offer the club an opportunity to rebuild trust with supporters and restore confidence after years of decline.
