Leicester City manager Russell Martin has praised Sammy Braybrooke following his impressive performance, while also identifying one area of his game that he believes needs improvement.
The young midfielder has continued to earn valuable minutes under Martin, showing encouraging signs of development as he looks to establish himself as an important member of the first-team squad.
Martin was pleased with Braybrooke’s overall contribution and made it clear that he has been impressed by both the player’s performances on the pitch and his attitude off it. However, the Leicester boss believes the youngster must become more clinical in front of goal when opportunities arise.
Speaking about Braybrooke, Martin said: ‘Amazing, but my only disappointment for Sammy is that he doesn’t score when he should tonight, but that’s the next part of his game’
The Leicester manager also highlighted the midfielder’s growing importance to the team, pointing to the number of minutes he has already played this season as evidence of the trust being placed in him.

Martin added: ‘I’m really proud of Sammy, he is a really outstanding young man and footballer. He’s played a lot of minutes already for us’
The comments underline the manager’s confidence in Braybrooke’s ability and potential. While there is still room for improvement in the final third, the youngster’s progress has clearly pleased Martin.
With more opportunities likely to come his way, Braybrooke will now be looking to build on his performances and add goals to his game as Leicester City continue their campaign.
