Okoli, while earning widespread praise, was quick to highlight the contribution of his centre-back partner Jamaal Lascelles. “He’s such a wonderful player with such experience.

I can only learn from him and I’m learning a lot in these last weeks being around him. We’re all happy to have him here. He’s a great player.”With vast experience, Lascelles may yet prove vital in the battles ahead.
