Enzo Maresca has ended a three-month social media silence, hinting that a managerial return could be on the horizon following his departure from Chelsea.

The Italian left Stamford Bridge on New Year’s Day, with Liam Rosenior taking over as interim head coach. Shortly after, Maresca shared a farewell message on his official Instagram account, before retreating from the public eye.

Three months later, he resurfaced, posting snapshots from a family getaway in the Maldives with his wife and four children. He captioned the images: “Enjoying the half term…Time to recharge!” Chelsea stars Robert Sanchez, Trevoh Chalobah and Levi Colwill were among those to ‘like’ the post.

The fourth photo in the series offered a glimpse into his workspace, complete with tactical manuals and stationery, suggesting he remains immersed in football analysis and potentially preparing for a return to management.

Speculation continues over a possible reunion with Manchester City, where he previously managed the development squad and served as Pep Guardiola’s assistant between 2020–2021 and 2022–2023.

Maresca’s post comes weeks after he was spotted in the director’s box at Leicester City’s Championship clash with Norwich, alongside former Chelsea assistants Willy Cabellero and Danny Walker.

During his Chelsea tenure, Maresca oversaw 92 games, winning 55, drawing 16 and losing 21, securing both the UEFA Conference League and Club World Cup trophies.

Despite his success, tensions with the club hierarchy led to his exit—a decision later questioned by Enzo Fernandes and Marc Cucurella.
