Despite a police and stewarding presence, ticket checks, bans on half-and-half scarves and searches for concealed Arsenal shirts on bridges leading to the ground, it is believed that several hundred Arsenal supporters managed to bypass controls and purchase tickets within home sections.
Clashes erupted at the London Stadium on Sunday after Arsenal’s 83rd-minute goal, with trouble breaking out in areas of the ground, including the West Stand corporate section, where stewards intervened to remove celebrating visiting supporters.

Footage circulating on social media shows scuffles and removals of Arsenal fans from designated home areas, prompting scrutiny from authorities.
Four supporters were arrested, with further detentions and potential bans expected, while reports suggest a steward may have suffered a broken arm during one of the incidents.
In a statement, the Met Police said: “Met offices arrested four people at the London Stadium on Sunday, 10 May following the fixture between West Ham United and Arsenal
Another man, aged 31, was arrested for possession of a Class B substance.”
Operations teams at the stadium and West Ham officials are now reviewing high-definition CCTV footage to identify those involved, with stadium bans and further arrests expected.
Claret and Hugh understand that the club is also reviewing season ticket accounts where tickets were knowingly used by visiting supporters, which could lead to further sanctions.
Supporters who sold tickets via the official exchange are not expected to face punishment.
The incidents will be reviewed by Newham Council’s London Stadium Safety Advisory Group, with concern raised over footage of a supporter being thrown down stairs in the upper tier, an act that could have caused serious injury or death.
