Following relegation to the Championship, attention at West Ham United has now turned towards the players and staff who are willing to commit themselves to the task of rebuilding the club.
It was confirmed yesterday that Nuno Espirito Santo will remain in charge for the Hammers’ first season outside the Premier League in 14 years, following what have been described as positive discussions behind the scenes.

Supporters have been encouraged by reports suggesting the Portuguese coach is fully committed to the challenge ahead. However, many are still waiting to hear directly from both the manager and members of the squad over their intentions for next season.
There is an understanding that it remains early in the summer, but fans are desperate to see signs of loyalty and determination from players expected to form the core of the rebuild.
Despite the disappointment of relegation, there is also a sense of opportunity around the club. West Ham now have the chance to reset, regroup and move forward with people who genuinely want to be part of the journey back to the Premier League.
The club are hopeful that Nuno’s decision to stay in east London will encourage others to follow suit.
Jarrod Bowen, Taty Castellanos, Mads Hermansen, Konstantinos Mavropanos and Tomas Soucek are all viewed as key figures the club would like to keep.
Supporters will now hope those messages of commitment begin to arrive sooner rather than later ahead of the Championship campaign.
