A respected journalist has broken his silence, revealing Khun Top’s decision on whether to sell Leicester City.

Leicester City’s uneasy decline under chairman Khun Top Srivaddhanaprabha shows little sign of easing, with the goodwill built during his father Vichai’s celebrated tenure now under increasing strain.

Since assuming control in 2018, Top has overseen a period of regression, despite the high point of lifting the FA Cup in 2021 alongside Jamie Vardy and his team-mates.

That triumph now feels distant. Two relegations from the Premier League have followed, and the prospect of a second successive drop, potentially into League One, looms large.

Financial pressures have compounded matters. Losses nearing £180 million have contributed to a six-point deduction this season, leaving little certainty that an immediate return would follow another relegation. Instead, there is a growing fear Leicester could continue to slide down the EFL.

Top has not shied away from responsibility. Speaking candidly earlier in the campaign, he said: “The [person] most people should blame is me because I own the club, I’m the chairman.”

“I’m worried too, every year we try to comply with the PSR and the only year we don’t know what it is, is the year we were relegated” 🗣️

While sections of the support crave fresh leadership, Top appears reluctant to step aside. Journalist Henry Winter cast doubt on any imminent sale, writing: “Tbh no. Would be such a difficult emotional decision because of the shrine and the memories.”

For now, sentiment may yet outweigh change at the King Power Stadium.
