Leicester City’s international contingent have now returned to the King Power Stadium, with 13 players having represented their respective nations during the break.
For some, the opportunity offered a welcome distraction from the pressures of a difficult Championship campaign.

Abdul Fatawu, in particular, enjoyed a standout moment, scoring a superb strike against Germany that briefly lifted Ghanaian spirits. While Ghana ultimately fell to a 2-1 defeat, and manager Otto Addo was dismissed after just 72 days in charge, it marked another proud milestone for the Foxes winger, who now has 27 senior caps.
Back in Leicestershire, Gary Rowett continues to steady the ship. The 42 days since his appointment have yielded only one victory, but just two defeats suggest a growing resilience. The issue, however, remains in attack, with only seven goals scored across his seven matches in charge.
Fatawu’s recent display may yet prove timely. Despite a dip in form domestically, the winger’s quality is undoubted, with 36 goal contributions in the Championship, including 16 this season.
Rowett will hope to harness that talent as Leicester approach a defining Easter period. His creativity was evident in the recent draw with Watford, where he registered five key passes.
With fixtures against Preston North End and Sheffield Wednesday looming, Fatawu could yet play a decisive role in Leicester’s fight for survival.
