Leicester City have confirmed the departure of one of their midfielders after a permanent transfer to Bundesliga side VfB Stuttgart was completed for an undisclosed fee.
The move had been expected for some time, with negotiations between the two clubs concluded well before the official announcement.
Stuttgart had effectively confirmed the agreement back in May, leaving only the formalities before Leicester officially announced the player’s exit.
The transfer represents another significant change as the club continues its summer rebuild ahead of the new campaign.
Bilal El Khannouss now begins a new chapter in Germany after bringing his spell at the King Power Stadium to an end.
The Morocco international arrived with an impressive reputation and showed glimpses of his quality during his time with the Foxes, but his stay at the club ultimately proved to be a short one.

Leicester said in a statement: “Leicester can confirm that midfielder Bilal El Khannouss has completed a permanent transfer from Leicester City to Bundesliga side VfB Stuttgart for an undisclosed fee.”
The 21-year-old will now look to establish himself in the Bundesliga with Stuttgart, who moved early to secure his services.
His departure is another notable piece of business during Leicester’s busy summer, with Russell Martin continuing to reshape his squad as preparations for the 2026/27 season gather pace and further arrivals and departures are expected before the transfer window closes.
