Harry Winks could be on his way out of Leicester City this summer after fresh reports claimed Serie A side Cagliari are pushing to sign the experienced midfielder.
The 30-year-old has emerged as one of the players expected to leave the King Power Stadium following Leicester’s difficult campaign, with Cagliari now showing serious interest in bringing him back to Italian football.
According to transfer journalist Nicolò Schira, the Serie A club have already offered Winks a contract running until 2028, with the option of extending it by a further year until 2029.
Reports in Italy also suggest discussions between the clubs are progressing positively, although no agreement has yet been officially confirmed.
Winks is no stranger to Serie A after spending the 2022/23 season on loan at Sampdoria before joining Leicester from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2023.
He played a key role in Leicester’s Championship-winning promotion campaign under Enzo Maresca, but his future has become the subject of increasing speculation following the club’s recent struggles.
Italian reports claim Cagliari view Winks as an ideal addition because of his experience, composure on the ball and knowledge of Serie A.

With just one year reportedly remaining on his Leicester contract, the Foxes may be open to offers if the right deal arrives.
For now, Leicester have made no official announcement regarding the midfielder’s future, but the coming days could prove decisive as Cagliari continue their efforts to complete the transfer.
If the move goes through, it would bring an end to Winks’ three-year spell at the Foxes and hand Russell Martin another important decision to make as he reshapes his squad ahead of the new season.
