JUST IN 🚨: Aston Villa have held talks over a deal to sign the perfect replacement for Morgan Rogers.

Aston Villa have reportedly discussed the possibility of bringing a club hero back to Villa Park this summer as Unai Emery looks to strengthen his attacking options following Morgan Rogers’ departure.

The Villans received a staggering £117 million for the England international, providing a significant financial boost at a time when the club must carefully manage its spending.

The Midlands side are also dealing with a £19.5 million UEFA fine for a ‘significant breach’ of squad cost rules for 2025.

Despite the huge fee received for Rogers, Villa are expected to remain cautious in the transfer market, with a loan move potentially offering a way to add quality without committing to a major permanent deal.

According to The Sun, Villa’s transfer chiefs have discussed the prospect of reuniting with former academy star Jack Grealish, who left the club for Manchester City in a British-record £100 million transfer in 2021.

The 30-year-old spent last season on loan at Everton, where he produced two goals and six assists before a foot injury brought his campaign to an early end.

Grealish is now back fit and has been training with RCD Mallorca this summer, although he was omitted from Manchester City’s pre-season tour squad.

Everton remain interested in keeping him, meaning Villa could face competition if they decide to make their interest concrete.

A return to Villa Park would undoubtedly be an emotional reunion, with Grealish having made 213 appearances for Villa in the Premier League and Championship.
