EXCLUSIVE 🚨: Aston Villa have just submitted a €35m bid in another hijack attempt, and they are now the leading contenders to sign the player.

Aston Villa have reportedly opened talks with Parma over a potential deal for goalkeeper Zion Suzuki, with renewed speculation suggesting Emiliano Martinez could be heading for the exit.

The 23-year-old Japan international joined Parma in 2024 and has quickly established himself as one of Europe’s most promising young goalkeepers. He has already made 59 appearances for the Italian club and earned 28 caps for Japan.

Despite his relatively limited experience at the highest level, Suzuki’s performances have attracted significant attention.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Villa have made a formal approach and are now in discussions with Parma over a possible transfer, with a €35m deal and a long-term contract being considered.

Villa’s interest comes after Suzuki’s proposed move to Paris Saint-Germain collapsed over the weekend.

It remains to be seen whether Unai Emery’s side can reach an agreement with Parma and convince the goalkeeper to move to England.

Meanwhile, Romano reports that Juventus have renewed their interest in Martinez, although negotiations have not yet reached an advanced stage.

The possibility of Martinez leaving would represent a major change at Villa Park. His leadership and experience have been crucial, but Emery appears determined to build a younger squad with a long-term vision.

With several departures already completed and new arrivals strengthening the squad, Villa’s summer rebuild continues to gather pace.
