Pape Matar Sarr could be heading towards the Tottenham exit before the September 1 transfer deadline, but Spurs have reportedly placed a hefty price tag on the Senegal international.
Tottenham have strengthened their midfield significantly this summer, bringing in Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes for a combined £185m.
With Joao Palhinha returning to his parent club after his loan spell, Roberto De Zerbi still has plenty of options in the centre of the pitch.
Sarr had previously been linked with a possible £30m departure, but the latest reports suggest Tottenham now want considerably more for the 23-year-old.
CaughtOffside reports that Sarr’s future remains uncertain following Spurs’ midfield additions. Al Ahli have made enquiries, while Aston Villa and Brentford are also monitoring the former Metz midfielder.
Tottenham are prepared to consider a sale if a ‘suitable’ offer arrives, although no formal bid has been submitted so far.

Aston Villa could explore a £30m deal, but Spurs reportedly value Sarr closer to £50m. The North London club are under no pressure to sell, given his age, Premier League experience and contract running until 2030.
Meanwhile, Lucas Bergvall’s future is also uncertain. The Sweden international reportedly wants regular first-team football and could seek a late move, with Newcastle and Nottingham Forest interested.
According to Alasdair Gold, Tottenham would demand more than £60m to consider selling Bergvall this summer.
