Exclusive: Aston Villa star’s move has collapsed again as the deal is now off, and Unai Emery has already told him he will not be part of his plans this season.

Aston Villa winger Leon Bailey could finally be heading for the exit door, with two Saudi Pro League clubs now showing interest in the Jamaica international.

Al Ittihad and Diriyah Club have emerged as potential destinations for the 29-year-old, who has yet to make an appearance for Villa this season and appears to have fallen firmly out of Unai Emery’s plans.

Bailey came close to leaving during the summer, with Hull City agreeing an £8million fee for the winger.

However, the proposed move failed to be completed before Tuesday’s deadline, leaving Villa facing the prospect of keeping a player they are keen to move on.

Sources have told Football Insider that Saudi Arabia could now provide a solution, with the Saudi transfer window remaining open until 6 September.

Bailey had attracted interest from several clubs throughout the summer, including Trabzonspor and Celta Vigo, while Hull’s move was ultimately complicated by his wage demands.

The winger’s current situation is particularly frustrating for Villa after they handed him a new contract in 2024. His form has declined significantly since then, eventually leading to a loan spell at Roma last season.

Villa will now hope either Al Ittihad or Diriyah Club can agree a deal before the Saudi deadline. Otherwise, Bailey could remain at Villa Park until January or potentially until his contract expires next summer.
