Aston Villa have officially confirmed that Leon Bailey has completed a permanent transfer to Greek side Olympiacos, bringing an end to his four-year spell at Villa Park.
Bailey arrived at Aston Villa from Bayer Leverkusen in 2021 and quickly became an important figure in the club’s attacking setup. During his time in claret and blue, the Jamaica international made 163 appearances, scoring 23 goals and providing 25 assists across all competitions.
The winger played an important role in Villa’s recent rise, including their success in Europe last season, when the club lifted the UEFA Europa League. His contribution during one of the most memorable periods in the club’s recent history will not be forgotten.

Bailey enjoyed his most productive campaign in the 2023/24 season, finding the net 14 times as Villa secured qualification for the UEFA Champions League for the first time in the club’s history.
Aston Villa said: “Since joining the club in 2021, Leon has been a key part of our recent journey and he leaves the club having played his part in Villa winning the UEFA Europa League last term.”
The club also praised Bailey’s character, describing him as a popular presence among teammates and staff.
Villa added that Bailey leaves with “the very best wishes of everyone at the football club” as he begins a new chapter with Olympiacos.
