The Leicester City forward wasted no time making his mark, finding the net three times in a performance that will certainly get supporters talking.
His goals came at a time when questions had been raised over his opportunities under Russell Martin.
Martin’s decision to leave Bristric out had left some fans wondering why the forward had not been given more chances to show what he could do. Rather than respond with words, however, Bristric has let his football do the talking.
A hat-trick is about as emphatic a response as any player could provide.
With three goals to his name, Bristric has now put himself firmly into the conversation for more regular involvement.
His finishing, movement and confidence in front of goal were all on display as he punished the opposition whenever opportunities came his way.
For Leicester supporters, it was the kind of performance that can quickly change the mood around a player. Bristric has made his case in the strongest possible fashion, and Martin now has another decision to make.
Whether this performance changes his role in the squad remains to be seen, but one thing is clear: Bristric has answered his critics with goals.
