Leicester City manager Russell Martin has admitted his side must learn to play “ugly” and “horrible” football if they are to turn around their disappointing start to the League One campaign.
The Foxes have won just two of their opening eight league matches, suffering three defeats to leave them 17th in the table, only one point above the relegation zone following their 3-1 loss to Peterborough United at the King Power Stadium.
Martin is facing mounting pressure after the defeat, with supporters growing increasingly frustrated over the team’s performances.

The manager was appointed to guide Leicester back to the Championship, but their struggles have continued despite expectations of an immediate improvement.
While Martin’s commitment to his footballing philosophy has attracted criticism, he has now acknowledged that his players must show greater determination and resilience during difficult moments.
“Whether we go home or away, we have to play football,” he said. “We have to fight. We have to run. But then we have a shaky moment, whether it’s home or away, we do not respond in the right way.
