Leicester City manager Gary Rowett has finally addressed the wave of boos directed at Andre Ayew during Saturday’s clash.

The veteran forward, who has struggled to find consistency since his arrival, drew audible criticism from sections of the King Power Stadium crowd.
Speaking after the 1-1 draw, Rowett sought to temper the reaction. “I understand the fans’ frustrations,” he admitted.
“But Andre has been giving everything in training and on the pitch. He’s committed to the team, and that has to count for something.”
The manager was keen to emphasise the importance of unity as the Foxes battle to climb away from the relegation zone. “Boos don’t help anyone. We need to get behind our players, not against them,” Rowett added.
Ayew, who missed a clear chance in the second half, remained composed under scrutiny. “Of course it’s disappointing when the crowd reacts like that,” Rowett continued. “But he knows he has the support of the squad and the coaching staff.”
Leicester are now six points adrift of safety, and every fixture carries heightened tension. Rowett insists that the team’s focus must remain on performance rather than public opinion.
“We will keep working hard, and results will come,” he said. “Andre is part of that journey, and he deserves our backing.”
The atmosphere around King Power Stadium may be testing, but Rowett is determined to keep the squad united in the fight for Championship survival.
