Leicester City chairman Aiyawatt ‘Top’ Srivaddhanaprabha has accepted responsibility for the club’s relegation to League One after a disastrous 2025/26 campaign that has left supporters furious.
The Foxes have now suffered back-to-back relegations, falling from the Premier League to the third tier in successive seasons, a decline few could have imagined for a club that lifted the league title just a decade ago.

Supporters have made their feelings clear in recent weeks, with frustration aimed at both the boardroom and the dressing room. Following the 2-2 draw against Hull City at the King Power Stadium, many fans remained outside long after the final whistle to voice their anger at the club’s leadership and players.
Top, who has faced increasing criticism from supporters, issued a statement after Leicester’s fate was sealed.
“As Chairman, that responsibility sits with me. There are no excuses.
“We have experienced the highest highs and now the lowest lows, and the pain is shared by all of us. I am truly sorry for the disappointment we have caused. I understand the strength of feeling among our supporters.”
He added: “Our focus now is on what comes next.
“We will take the necessary decisions to move the Club forward.
“We will face this head-on. We will keep going.”
Those words may acknowledge the scale of the failure, but for many supporters, only decisive action now will begin to repair the damage done at Leicester City.
