Reports emerging from Merseyside suggest Everton have now made a final decision on the future of Jack Grealish after his impressive spell on loan from Manchester City this season.
David Moyes’ side are understood to be keen on keeping the England international, but the club will not activate the £50 million buy option included in the agreement with City.

Instead, Everton are preparing to open fresh negotiations for either a reduced permanent fee or another loan deal ahead of next season.
The decision comes after Grealish enjoyed a strong campaign at Goodison Park before his season was disrupted by injury. The 30-year-old quickly became one of Everton’s key attacking players, producing goals, assists and moments of quality that helped transform the club under Moyes.
Reports claim Everton officials believe Grealish has rediscovered his confidence on Merseyside and remains central to their long-term plans.
Manchester City are also believed to be open to negotiations as Pep Guardiola continues reshaping his squad for next season.
Grealish still has a huge salary at the Etihad, and several reports suggest City would consider lowering their demands to reach an agreement.
Despite speculation linking other clubs with the winger, Everton remain confident they can strike a deal once the transfer window officially opens.
Sources close to the club claim discussions are already underway, with the Toffees hopeful Grealish himself will push for a return after enjoying life at the club and building a strong connection with supporters.
