Bombshell 😱😱😱: This Is Even More Heartbreaking Than Relegation Itself as West Ham Confirm the Hammers’ Fan-Favourite Player Will Leave the Club Too

West Ham supporters are bracing themselves for what could be a painful summer as the club prepares for life in the Championship.

With serious financial concerns hanging over the London Stadium, fears are growing that several key players could be sold before the promotion campaign begins in August.

Many fans remain hopeful that the likes of Jarrod Bowen, Tomas Soucek, Taty Castellanos, Konstantinos Mavropanos and Mads Hermansen will stay and form the backbone of a push for an immediate return to the Premier League. However, memories of the mass exodus following relegation in 2003 remain fresh for many supporters.

That summer saw a host of stars depart despite West Ham collecting 42 points. Joe Cole, Glen Johnson, Michael Carrick and Jermain Defoe were among those who left, marking one of the darkest periods in the club’s recent history.

Now, concerns are mounting that Bowen could be next. football365.com claims: “Jarrod Bowen to Chelsea would bring Joe Cole heartbreak for West Ham fans”.

The report adds: “..The economic reality of a £100million black hole and an uncaring owner concerned with covering his own back means this all points in one direction.”

For many supporters, losing Bowen would be far more painful than any other departure. Since arriving from Hull City, he has become the face of the club, delivering goals, assists and unforgettable memories, most notably in Prague.

Reports of Chelsea preparing a £40 million bid continue to gather pace, leaving fans fearing that another club icon could soon be heading for the exit.
