AdminSunderland are prepared to listen to offers for striker Eliezer Mayenda this summer as interest from West Ham United continues to gather pace ahead of the new season.
The 20-year-old forward enjoyed a breakthrough campaign on Wearside, establishing himself as one of the club’s most promising attacking talents.
His performances have not gone unnoticed, with several Premier League clubs monitoring his progress, while West Ham are understood to be among the sides keeping a close eye on his situation.
Sunderland secured promotion back to the Premier League and would ideally prefer to retain many of the players who helped achieve that success.
However, the club are also aware that significant offers for their most valuable assets could prove difficult to ignore.
Mayenda’s pace, movement and ability to operate across the front line have attracted admirers, and West Ham are believed to view him as a player with considerable long-term potential.
The Hammers are expected to strengthen their attacking options this summer and have been assessing a number of young talents capable of making an impact in the years ahead.
While no formal bid has yet been submitted, Sunderland’s willingness to consider offers has opened the door to a possible transfer. Any deal would likely depend on West Ham meeting the Championship club’s valuation of the Spain youth international.
With the transfer window now gathering momentum, Mayenda’s future is set to remain a closely watched story in the weeks ahead.
