Leicester City have confirmed their starting line-up for this afternoon’s pre-season friendly against Burton Albion at the Pirelli Stadium, with Russell Martin continuing to assess his squad ahead of the new Championship campaign.
There are several familiar faces in the side, while a number of young players have also been handed another opportunity to impress.
However, there is no place in the matchday squad for new signing Conor Chaplin or goalkeeper Alex McCarthy, with both absent from today’s fixture.
Jakub Stolarczyk starts in goal behind a back four of Aluko, Caleb Okoli, Ben Nelson and captain Luke Thomas. The midfield features Will Alves, Braybrooke and Oliver Skipp, while Page, Stephy Mavididi and Otchere lead the attack.

Leicester City Starting XI:
Stolarczyk
Aluko
Okoli
Nelson
Thomas (C)
Alves
Braybrooke
Skipp
Page
Mavididi
Otchere
Substitutes: Vieites, Joseph, Faes, Wilson-Brown, Ali, Choudhury, Carr, Neale, Donnelly, Hutchinson, Evans and Opoku.
The absence of Chaplin and McCarthy is likely to attract attention, particularly with both expected to play important roles this season. Leicester have not confirmed the reason for either player’s omission.
With places in Russell Martin’s squad still up for grabs, today’s friendly provides another valuable opportunity for players to stake their claim before the Championship season gets underway.
