Top’s commitment to Leicester City was made clear earlier this year when he was asked whether he would ever consider selling the club.
With speculation surrounding the Foxes’ long-term ownership, the chairman insisted he remains deeply attached to Leicester and has no immediate plans to walk away.
While acknowledging that every football club has a price under extraordinary circumstances, he stressed that his focus is on restoring Leicester to where they belong after a difficult period.
Speaking about the possibility of a future takeover, Top said:
‘If some prince comes in, maybe yes, and the club can be like Man City for example! But I am sure that is a long, long way to go. I still love it here, I want to make sure the club is successful again’
The comments reflected both ambition and loyalty. Top suggested that only an owner capable of taking Leicester to another level financially would make him even think about stepping aside, but he made it clear that such a scenario remains distant.
He also underlined the emotional bond he has built with the football club since taking over following the death of his father, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha.

His aim remains to guide Leicester back towards success on and off the pitch rather than seek an exit.
Summing up what the club means to him personally, Top added:
‘Leicester is like my son’
Those words reinforced the strength of his connection with Leicester City and why he remains determined to oversee a brighter future for the Foxes.
