Aston Villa have reportedly opened talks with AC Milan over a deal to sign Fikayo Tomori as Unai Emery searches for a replacement for Ezri Konsa.
Villa sanctioned a £51m deal plus add-ons for Konsa to join Premier League champions Arsenal earlier this week, leaving Emery with another major hole to fill after the departures of Youri Tielemans, Lucas Digne and Morgan Rogers.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Luca Bianchin, Villa and Milan are discussing a possible return to England for Tomori.
The 28-year-old is out of favour at San Siro and has reportedly been given permission to leave by new boss Ruben Amorim.
Milan are understood to want around €15m (£12.8m), while Tomori is reportedly very open to joining Villa.
The former Derby County and Chelsea defender has won six England caps and made 214 appearances for Milan since joining in 2021.

Meanwhile, GIVEMESPORT sources understand Villa have submitted an £18m bid plus £2m in add-ons for Southampton defender Taylor Harwood-Bellis.
Southampton value the former England international at £25m, with Benfica also interested.
The defender is expected to leave after Southampton missed out on promotion last season and were handed a 12-point deduction.
Villa are now weighing up both options as Emery looks to strengthen his defence before the new campaign begins.
