Nuno Espirito Santo believes West Ham can turn the London Stadium into a major advantage after their emphatic 6-0 victory over Wrexham on Friday night.
A crowd of 59,712 watched the Hammers cruise to a convincing win, a result that lifted them back to the top of the Championship.
Despite the scoreline and four consecutive victories, Nuno insisted the result was not intended to send a message to the rest of the division.
Instead, the West Ham boss highlighted the impact of having almost 60,000 supporters behind his side, insisting the atmosphere can provide a huge boost throughout their Championship campaign.
“We just focus on ourselves and realise London Stadium is a big strength that we have, to try to take advantage of 60,000 fans who give us so much that we have to try to give back,” he told BBC Radio London.
Nuno also played down the significance of the winning run, stressing that West Ham still have a long road ahead.

“It’s not about sending messages, it’s about internally realising that today is good, tomorrow is going to be harder and we have to keep on going,” he said.
Joel Piroe, Taty Castellanos, Jarrod Bowen, Manor Solomon and substitute Mohamadou Kante all found the net as West Ham produced an impressive attacking display.
“It will boost their confidence for all the players, with the forward line scoring, good combinations, and players coming from the bench with energy – a very positive day for us,” he added.
