Kyle Walker-Peters was among the standout performers as West Ham United produced a stunning 6-0 victory over Wrexham at the London Stadium on Friday night.
The emphatic result sent Nuno Espirito Santoโs side temporarily top of the Championship, while extending their impressive run to four consecutive league victories.
Jarrod Bowen and Joel Piroe gave the Hammers a commanding 2-0 lead before Konstantinos Mavropanos, Taty Castellanos, Mahamadou Kante and Manor Solomon completed the rout after the break.
Walker-Peters did not start, but his introduction after 30 minutes proved crucial. Replacing Joel Veltman, the full-back immediately made his presence felt and finished the contest with two assists.
His first contribution came during a sensational counter-attack, carrying the ball from deep before creating the opportunity for Castellanos. BBC Radio London pundit Bradley Allen was hugely impressed.
He said: “What a brilliant goal! A tremendous counter. Kyle Walker-Peters, take a bow – from one end of the pitch to the other.
“That’s one of the best Championship goals of the season. Absolutely outstanding.”

Walker-Peters later surged forward again before setting up Solomon, who curled home his second goal since joining from Tottenham.
Allen added: “Again the surging and driving run from Kyle Walker-Peters was outstanding.
“The shot from Manor Solomon turning away from goal was outstanding, I think (Anthony) Patterson got a fingertip to it. I’m delighted for Solomon.”
West Ham will now look to maintain their momentum against Fulham before facing Millwall on September 19.
