Leicester City’s financial problems have taken another extraordinary turn, with the club reportedly charging players £80 per night to stay at the accommodation at their Seagrave training ground, talkSPORT has revealed.
The Foxes’ dramatic fall from the Premier League to League One has left the club facing mounting financial pressure, with significant losses and debts forcing King Power to put the club up for sale.
The £100m Seagrave facility includes accommodation for players who live outside the area, have recently joined the club or are still searching for permanent housing.
However, staying there will now reportedly come at a cost, with players expected to pay £80 per night.
Leicester are currently seeking a new owner, with chairman Aiyawatt ‘Top’ Srivaddhanaprabha understood to have placed a valuation of around £200m on the club.
Three consortiums are reportedly interested despite the significant financial challenges facing the Foxes.

Since 2018/19, Leicester have accumulated losses of around £323m and have repeatedly faced financial regulation problems. Their decline was capped by a six-point deduction during their relegation from the Championship.
For a club that lifted the Premier League trophy just a decade ago, the current situation underlines the scale of the crisis.
A takeover now appears increasingly important. New ownership could bring fresh investment, leadership and stability as Leicester attempt to rebuild their fortunes and finally halt their dramatic decline.
