Lukasz Fabianski has revealed that he has taken on a new role at West Ham United following his playing career with the club.
The experienced goalkeeper is now working with the next generation of shot-stoppers at the West Ham academy, taking his first steps into coaching while remaining connected with the club.
Fabianski explained that the opportunity has allowed him to remain involved with football and return to the training pitch in a different capacity.
Although his new position is not currently a full-time commitment, the former Poland international admitted that he has already found plenty of enjoyment in the role.
“I started working, not full-time, but a bit on a casual basis, as a goalkeepers’ coach at the West Ham academy. It brings me a lot of joy to be back on the pitch.”

The move represents a natural transition for Fabianski, who brings years of Premier League and international experience to his work with young goalkeepers.
His time between the posts has given him considerable knowledge of what it takes to compete at the highest level, and that experience could now prove valuable to West Ham’s academy players.
For Fabianski, however, the immediate priority appears to be enjoying the opportunity to remain involved in the game while helping young goalkeepers develop their skills and understanding.
His new position also keeps him close to the club where he became a popular figure among supporters.
