Millwall defender Caleb Taylor has warned West Ham that they can expect a fierce battle when the two sides meet at The Den on Saturday.
The Hammers return to Championship action after their impressive 6-0 victory over Wrexham in their previous league outing.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side were beaten 3-2 by Fulham in the Carabao Cup in midweek, but their league form has kept them at the top of the table.
Taylor is expecting a difficult afternoon for the visitors and believes the atmosphere at The Den could play a major role.
Speaking on BBC’s EFL 72+ podcast, he said: “Saturday we’ll try and be solid, they have some good players, come down from the Premier League, they have huge financial backing.
We’ll make it a good game and really give it to them. Since I’ve been here the atmosphere at The Den has just been incredible. I can only imagine what it’s going to be like on Saturday, it’s going to be proper intimidating. I’m really looking forward to it.”

West Ham currently have 14 points from seven matches, sitting above Swansea City, Middlesbrough and West Bromwich Albion.
Despite their cup disappointment, the Hammers have adapted quickly to Championship football. They strengthened during the summer with Manor Solomon, Arne Engels and Joel Piroe, while retaining Jarrod Bowen, who remains central to their promotion ambitions.
Millwall will now look to make home advantage count against the league leaders.
